This bacon cheeseburger pizza recipe yields eight slices of pizza․ I make this pizza at home for convenience‚ when I want the burger toppings to be preassembled on the pizza․ Other ingredients and toppings are cheddar cheese‚ beef‚ bacon‚ onion‚ and pickle slices on a ketchup and mustard base․ Bake the pizza until the crust is browned on the edges․

After frying the bacon and taking it out of the pan with a slotted spoon‚ there are 2 tablespoons of bacon grease left in the pan for the beef mixture․ I fry the beef until it has no pink color and drain it well before adding it to the crust․ Excess grease can drip into the crust and collect under the cheese․
I like to add ketchup and yellow mustard․ Half of the cheddar cheese is used in the initial layer of cheese․ Add ketchup and yellow mustard over the meat․ Add onion and pickle chips and the rest of the cheddar cheese․ Use your best judgment to add ketchup and yellow mustard․ Use more yellow mustard․
I bake pizzas on a 16-inch pizza pan to allow the pizza dough to press into an even round before topping․ The pizzas feed eight people‚ and a sharp knife can slice through the toppings without dragging them down onto the pizza crust as you cut․

Why you'll love this recipe
- The beef and bacon are cooked․ Most of the time in the oven is spent cooking the crust and cheese․
- It divides into eight pieces‚ allowing you to set aside servings for dinner before using the rest․
- A 16-inch pizza pan makes it easier to shape the dough into a round pizza and gives room for all the other ingredients․
- Frozen or homemade doughs can be used for this recipe․ Using either type of dough allows you to plan ahead․
- Ketchup and yellow mustard are common ingredients I use regularly․ I choose yellow mustard for a burger flavor more commonly found at fast-food restaurants․
- Cheddar cheese is used in two layers‚ one under the meat layer and one over the meat layer․
